David A. Livingston

This is my thirtieth year working in the South Carolina Public School setting. In my career, I have taught Advanced Placement United States History, World History, Economics, Government, and African Studies. This is 4th year I have worked primarily with self-contained students. I have also served as the assistant administrator for the middle school and high school in McCormick. Additionally, I was the coordinator for special services and Medicaid coordinator for McCormick County School District.  

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at Francis Marion College (University) in 1990, with a major in political science and a minor in history. I completed my certification in the special education area of multi-categorical disabilities through South Carolina Project Create. In 2007, I completed my Master's Degree in Science in the area of education. In 2013, I completed my Education Specialist Degree in Supervision and Leadership at Clemson University as well as taken classes in financial management from Columbia University. 

I was born in Marion, South Carolina, and graduated from high school in Marion. After completing my undergraduate degree, I taught social studies in Allendale, South Carolina. This will be my twenty-fourth year in the McCormick County School system.
