Nakisha Durant
Hello, I'm Nakisha Durant, a lifelong resident and 1993 graduate of McCormick County School District. This is my 24th year in education, 10 of which I spent teaching Head Start children ages 3,4&5. The last 14 years, I've worked for my Alma Motto. I am currently the Reading Interventionist at the Middle School services struggling readers.
I am a free-spirited, shoe-loving, sports fanatic. With my husband of 20 years, I have three wonderful young men. DeQuincy, age 27, a member of the workforce, Mataeo, age 22, a NFL runningback with the Pittsburg Steelers, and A'Chean, a senior at McCormick High School. In the midst of running all over the United States with my children, I managed to obtain several degrees; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Limestone University and a Masters Degree in both Elementary & Early Childhood Education. I'm projecting this to be my best year ever as I help the children reach their maximum potential!
I enjoy every moment of family time that I can get along with shoe shopping and attending sporting events! I am a reptile lover and enjoy bonding with them on a daily basis!
