Mr. Tom Williamson

 Coach Williamson has been in education for over twenty-one years. He started teaching here at McCormick in 2013 teaching Physical Education at both the High School and Middle School and Coaching Football. In 2015 he taught Physical Education at the Elementary School. He’s currently enjoying his 2nd as the Assistant Middle School Principal still Coaching Varsity Football. He enjoys seeing students grow and learn both mentally and physically. He strives to help be a positive part of the students’ growth each and every day.

Coach Williamson has been married for over twenty-three years to his wife Tina and they have two children, Ashley and Austin. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and Athletic Training. After graduation he taught two years in Springfield, Illinois at Sangamon County Learning Academy. In 1998, he and his wife, Tina, moved to Rock City, Illinois where Coach Williamson started teaching Physical Education at Lena Winslow High School in Lena, Illinois. In June 2006, he earned his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from National Louis University. Coach Williamson remained teaching at Lena Winslow for 14 years before moving to Appling, Georgia with his family in 2012.
