Expectations During the Pandemic
EXPECTATIONS DURING THE PANDEMIC
- When You Arrive:
- All students must have temperatures checked before they enter MHS
- Only three entrances are open in the morning:
- Front Office Entrance
- Student Parking Entrance
- Bus Entrance
- All students will be asked questions from the CDC
- If you have a temperature or have COVID 19 symptoms:
- Parents will be called immediately
- Students must be picked up ASAP
- Students will be monitored in the MHS nursing station to remain isolated
- The nursing station will be sanitized once student is picked up
- Report to your Breakfast Room
- The cafeteria is closed. Your breakfast room assignment will be emailed to you this evening. Please check your email this evening.
- Breakfast will be delivered to the classroom
- You may bring your own breakfast
- You may not share your breakfast
- When discarding your breakfast, use the appropriate trash receptacles.
- Do not use the classroom trash cans.
- Do not splatter food on the walls
- Do not pick up items from another person’s breakfast
- In the Building
- Everyone, staff and students, in the building must wear a mask at all times
- Unless you are eating, of course
- Everyone, staff and students, are to remain 6 feet apart
- Walk on the blue lines in the proper direction
- Stay right
- Only one person in the restroom at a time
- All desk need to be wiped down before and after class
- Do not share books
- Do not share computers
- Do not touch anyone
- No hand to hand paper exchanges
- Classwork will be virtual or placed on a bin
- Student Emails
- Check your student email daily (Especially Friday)
- Do not attempt to change the username of your email
- You may change the password
- Check your Google classroom for every class
- Most teachers have already sent you assignments to your email
- Please sign in to your Google classroom today
- Dress Code
- All students must follow the Uniform Dress Code.
- This includes MHS, Lander Dual Enrollment students, Abbeville County Career Center and PTC student when applicable.
- Online
- When students login to Google classroom virtually from home, please be appropriately dressed.
- Do not wear mask
- Do not be shirtless
- No undergarments
- Please have an appropriate background
- Do not disrupt the class
- Lunch
- Lunch will be served in an assigned classroom for each student.
- Check your student email this evening for lunch assignments
- The cafeteria is closed
- Lunch will be delivered to the classroom
- You may bring your own lunch
- You may not share your lunch

- Chromebooks and Laptops
- Please come to school with your laptops/Chromebooks charged
- We do not have loaner laptops/Chromebooks
- Students are not permitted to go to inappropriate sites with the school owned device
- Device backgrounds must be appropriate

- Cell Phones
- Are not to be visible except during lunch and breakfast
- Cell phones are to be turned off except during breakfast and lunch
- Taking pictures without consent from administration is prohibited
- Lunch will be served in an assigned classroom for each student.
