Ms. Gina Cieri

 My name is Gina Cieri and I am currently a 4/5 Multi-age and Gifted and Talented Math teacher at McCormick Elementary School.  I have been teaching in McCormick for 15 years, but have worked in education for a total of 36 years.  Previously, I was a 6^th grade math teacher at MMS, before moving down to 4^th grade at MES.   I have a BS in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Elementary Education, and I am Gifted and Talented Endorsed.  

   A person who influenced me to become a teacher was Mrs. Baroody, a high school math teacher, who encouraged me on a daily basis.  Mrs. Baroody’s encouragement and impact made me want to have the same influence on my students. 

   In my downtime, I enjoy reading, singing, line dancing, golfing and going to the movies.  I also spend time with family. My father, James; 3 brothers, Jim, Kit and Joe; sister-in-law, Lindsey; and nephew, Harrison who this year is in ninth grade. 

   I would like for the community to know that MES has a lot of dedicated teachers and staff who work very hard for our kids.  The kids are wonderful to teach because they are excited about learning and aren’t afraid of hard work.
