Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Christin M. Bradshaw

After graduating from Lexington High School, I earned a Bachelor's degree, in Teacher Certification - English, from Francis Marion University.  I taught middle school for five years in the Pee Dee and Columbia regions before becoming a GED instructor (Reading/Writing) for the ARMY - as a civilian - for two years.  While working for the ARMY, I earned my Master's degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College.  Shortly afterward, a position as a science teacher at a wilderness camp for DJJ in Aiken became my next step.  I decided to return to Columbia and found a position as the high school English teacher for an alternative school; I was there for eight years.

On a personal level - I enjoy being outdoors.  Paddling a canoe (and sometimes a kayak) is one of my favorite pastimes.  I have paddled: the Wateree River, the Lower Saluda River, the Congaree River, the Santee River (from the confluence to Low Falls in Lake Marion), Congaree Creek, Lake Murray, Lake Jocassee, sections of the Broad River, and other locations.  If I were to finish the Santee River I will have completed the entire Cowasee Basin.  I enjoy survival camping and have been on the river for a week at a time - avoiding all "gators."  I try to take my dogs but have to take them in the cooler months to avoid the alligators.
